Company Description

N. A. Software Ltd (NAS) was founded in 1978 as a hi-tech spinoff from the University of Liverpool. The company has two main activity areas: Consultancy: We carry out software and algorithmic research, development and consultancy for a wide range of corporations, organisations and governments. Areas of particular expertise includes radar/sonar/dsp processing; image understanding and analysis; code porting services; real-time software development; parallelism; as well as general scientific and engineering computational techniques. Software Tools: We develop and market a range of innovative software tools; in particular, low level DSP libraries such as VSIPL and other vector libraries for advanced processors. We have many years experience in porting other manufacturers commercial DSP libraries to new platforms using our unique semi-automated library generator tool, Liberator. Many of the major board manufacturers have taken advantage of our expertise in this field to port their libraries from Power PC to Intel architecture.
